At Levity, we understand that your pet's memories are precious – and so is your privacy. When I built this app for Rose, I wanted to make sure that the moments we capture stay between us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service. Rest assured, we treat your data with the same care we'd want for our own pets' memories.
When you use Levity to capture memories of your pet, we store the photos and videos you choose to upload. These are stored securely and only used to provide you with our service – things like organizing your timeline, enabling the overlapping gallery view, and powering our AI features.
The information you provide for check-ins – like vet visit details, training milestones, or custom notes about your pet's day – is collected to help you organize your memories. This includes dates, descriptions, and any categories you assign.
We collect basic device information (like your device model and operating system) and usage data (like which features you use most) to improve Levity. This data is anonymized and never linked to your personal identity.
Our AI analyzes your photos temporarily to ensure quality – things like detecting if your pet is in the frame or suggesting better angles. This analysis happens locally on your device whenever possible, and any data used for this purpose is not stored long-term.
We will never sell your personal information or photos to third parties. Your pet's memories belong to you, and we respect that.
When Rose's photos are stored on my phone, I worry about losing them – that's why security was built into Levity from day one. We use industry-standard encryption to protect your data both in transit and at rest. Your photos and personal information are stored securely and only accessible to you through your account.
While no service can guarantee perfect security, we regularly update our security measures to help keep your information safe.
We do not share your personal information, photos, or check-in data with third parties except in the following limited circumstances:

We retain your data for as long as you have an active Levity account. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information and content from our servers within 30 days, except as required by law or for legitimate business purposes like maintaining backups.
Levity is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll notify you by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, through the app or via email. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
